Any single sided 512MB DDR DIMMs available?

I want to plug 3 x 512MB DIMMS into an Intel 845 motherboard, but this chipset only handles 4 banks, i.e 2 x DS dimms, or 3 x SS DIMMS.

Does anyone know if such DIMMS are available.

Alternatively, there must be an easier way to get 1.5GB of RAM running stably and reliably in a recent motherboard? I do some scientific modelling and the models sometimes run for 20 days so I need a stable reliable configuration.

All suggestions appreciated.

PS my budget doesn't stretch to 1GB modules 8-(.

I'm not sure if you can get single sided 512MB DIMMs but it should be technologically possible. Have a look at www.crucial.com and see if they do SS 512MB DIMMs.

Alternatively you could just put 1GB in.
