Have anyone an idea if the Seagate syndrome with disliking RAID0 is
present with the cheap Seagate U6 also.

I have currently 2x20Gb UG in RAID0 doing some video editing.
(On a Abit BE6-II v1.2 upgraded to v2.0, and a tulatin celeron 1100@1469MHz)

I run HD tach on it yesterday and I had a read-score of:
max aprox. 35000
min aprox. 9000
average aprox. 27000
average seek time 20 ms
(i can't remember exactly)

I wasn't able to do write scores doe to the fact that my OS is on this disk(s)

The score ir pretty much the same over the whole disk area.
My 40 GIG 60GXP scored a little better in the beginning, and
porer in the end......(single 60GXP, non RAID!)

Is this normal score ?
(I can come back with more accurate readings if nesesary...)

LYRA:rolleyes:
