A friend of mine just picked up a brand new Abit KX7-333R and he wants to run the FSB at 166MHz while using the 5|6 Divider which in turn makes the memory run at 400MHz.

I understand the KX7-333R has a 3|3 3|4 4|3 4|4 4|5 (when board is running at 166MHz or higher 5|6 divider)?

What he wants to know is if there is memory out there that will do this and at CL2?

BTW, he wants to hit at least 3.5GB/s memory bandwidth score in Sandra2002 Pro.

Might get lucky with a samsung 2700 based stick but there is no guarantee.

Samsung 2700
Corsair 3200
Mushkin 3200

Shouldn't be that much longer until the samsung 3200 chips are out then maybe there will be some memory that will run 3200 cas 2 with reliability.

i am running mine at 400mhz on a KX7-333. This is at default by SPD and i havnt tried it yet with aggressive cause i am still makin sure its stable. I got 8.5x200

samsung original pc 2700 should when the samsung original pc 3200 comes out then definatly it will take any mhz that a chipset can put out
