Just got an abit at7. Can't seem to run mem at 166. Bios says it is running at 166, but sandra reports only 133 and the memory scores are right around 2000MB/s (133MHz scores). I've tried every bios option and still can't run the memory at 166?

Try comparing 133/133 to 133/166.

It may think that because it's getting it off the FSB?

Sandra isn't always right.

Thanks Yodum!

Your right and sandra's wrong. I read through more posts today and found the wpcredit register 69 6d thing. I was running at 133/166 (69/6d), the small differents between 133/133 & 133/166 is almost nothing. This same fsb+pci thing worked so well with intel stuff, it really scaled up? I guess it don't work the same with amd and/or ddr?
Still tweaking the new board. MY xp2k cpu is crapping out at 1850MHz or so. Can hit fsb 141 with all the fastest bios memory settings.

the athlon isnt as bw hungry as the p4's so the higher mem fsb will make next to no diffrence but if you scale your cpu up to 166fsb as well you will notice the diffrence.
