Is there less CPU overhead if I just went ahead and installed my SBLIVE sound card(have it in already) and disabled the onboard sound? The onboard sound on my ABit Bd7II does not have a spdif(yellow jack in) 3plug ins front/rear/sub, I'm running a set of 4speakers and a sub. Is there an optional plug in that i'm missing?

I dont have this mobo butt I think it has ac97 soundchip...
(I looked at pics at newegg and could not tell)

if it does, then yes.use the sblive.

you will get better sound, better benchmark scores(when sound is used in bm).
when I timedemo q3a I leave sound on,you do "play" with sound on?

even with new drivers for ac97,it still uses more cpu to work, and is not as good on the ears.

if you had nitro installed in your car, tell me you would not use it.jk
