Hay,I am trying to find out what is the larget prossessor I can shove into my intel abit bx-133 raid motherboard.I have now have a p3 700e overclocked to 868.And I want more power.I have looked around to find info and I guess i am blind. Also if I could get a link to a board update becouse I am still runnin on the original cd I got with board.Thanx...

That is a socket 370 mobo, right? I think any Coppermine processor will work, like a 1 gig P-III for example.

Here what the latest BIOS readme file say.

Official BIOS release 72 for BX133-RAID V1.0/BE6-II v2.0

Release information:

[ENGLISH]

1. Support Intel PIII / Celeron CPUs up to 1.1G(100). (Please mention:
This board does not support Tualatin core P!!!/Celeron processors.)
2. HPT 370 RAID BIOS verson 2.0.1024.
3. BIOS compile date: 12/03/2001.

Go to http://www.abit.com.tw/ for that BIOS or (ftp://ftp.abit.com.tw/pub/download/fae/ber72.exe) or can use my moded BIOS with HPT 370 RAID BIOS verson 2.31 and then get the 2.31 drivers from http://www.highpoint-tech.com/

Want more power, but think about it U can get more power but why to put more money into that dead s370 :(

it will support all cpus that are NOT on the .13 micron process, all .18 micron socket 370 cpus will work (1.0ghz P3 or earlier)
