I don't have a rpm monitored fan to use on my cpu heatsink and therefore, I don't have anything hooked to the cpu fan terminal on the board. Can I fool the board into believing that there is a fan so it will P.O.S.T.?
I am using a fan for cooling. It's just plugged into the p/s.
Thanks.

what board is that?
only boards i know of that need to read a fan to turnon are server boards....

I believe its made by Biostar. It is an M6TBA. Made for a P3 500. I now everything works. It came out 'cause I switched to the stuff in my sig. Everything starts, (except video) then shuts down. The video is the same that was originally on this board and I now it works too. I thought that it was a safety feature that since it didn't see the cpu fan that it would shut down. Everything I've read leads to this. I'm just trying to be cheap and not buy a rpm monitored fan. There's no fun in that.
