How safe is it to unscrew your scanner and clean the underside of the glass? because I noticed that my sanner has a film all over the underside making all my scans look real bad.

Never tried it, but scanner manufacturers recommend against messing with them. As long as you are prepared to sacrifice the scanner, go for it. If it works, you have solved your problem.

You mean the scans look bad now? Than I guess you have nothing to lose. Scanners are cheap. Tell us how it works out.
