Hello,

In my P4S533 - MOBO Rev 1.03 - BIOS v1.007C, when I switch the VEN1 jumper to the +0.2v core position the BIOS only shows an increment of 1.0 or 1.1v of the core.

In normal position (pins 2-3) the BIOS shows 1.52-1.53 core volts.

In 'switched' position (pins 1-2) the BIOS shows 1.62-1.64 core volts.

What about the page 28 of the P4S533 manual where ASUS says:

"This jumper increases the voltage available to the CPU by 0.2 volts..." ???

It seems that I need to vid-pin my Costa Rica P4 1.8A in order to achieve the famous 2.4Ghz OC (133 FSB).

Best regards from Spain.

vpin it. Also, go for the famous 142FSB (I did :/ ). Make sure u got better cooling then me, because I was lucky to get a l33t chip.

from what i've read...

from what i've read, that ven jumper does provide .2vdc to the family of socket 478 processors prior to the northwoods. if i am to understand correctly, the northwoods run at a lower voltage to begin with so asus lowered the ven boost to .1vdc to help keep you out of trouble.

with friends like that....

anyways,

que tengas un buen dia.

PAZ!
