Best place to put side window fan

For your experiences do you think position 1, 2, or 3 would be the best for adding a 80mm fan.

Hmm, #1 would be good to add some extra air to the CPU, #3 or #2 would be good for helping that graphics card stay cool. If I were you I would probably place the fan at #1.

the gateway box setup drops my cpu 5degrees, while number 3 drops my mobo temp 3degrees and my cpu 1.

Use 2 fans- 1 above the processor and 1 above the video- it proably drops your mb temp b/c the sensor it right under it-

Yeah the case temp probe on my MOBO is right behind the pci cards.
