what do you mean by 2 and 3 piece? I believe by definition a 5.1 system has 5 speakers and a subwoofer (but correct me if im wrong). Personally I picked up the Cambridge Soundworks 5.1 2500 Digital Theatre for about 140 bucks and I am impressed with the quality of the sound for the price.

Best? Try the Klipsch Promedias. They're widely regarded as some of the best computer speakers period and are the bar for comparison for lots of other speakers. I've also heard good things about Sirocco speakers as well.

If you're REALLY feeling wealthy, go buy a decent home theater receiver and a set of real speakers. :-) Something like Paradigm, Mirage, Klipsch, Boston, Mission, etc (not the mass market junk from stores like Circuit City, Best Buy, etc).

The Logitech Z-560's are very good speakers;

For $150 they are almost as good as Klipich.

Almost? The Klipsch ProMedia 4.1's pale in comparison to the Z-560's.. I know this because i've owned both sets and kept the Z-560's. Not only are they half the price, but they out-do the ProMedia 4.1's by a mile. The 5.1 Klipsch I can't speak of since I have never heard them.

My vote: Logitech Z-560.

I prefer Monsoon's MM-2000's.
