i reacently got my hands on gta3 but it doesnt run properly, this is what it looks like in the game (see attachment)

My system spec is

Athlon 1800xp @ 1.73 with sufficient cooling
256mb crucial
20gb maxter Hd
creative geforce 3 ti 200 which i reacently purchased
sound blaster live


the graphics card runs everything else fine soldier of fortune 2 etc but not this what should i do any ideas:( patch, driver update i can manage to play the game but i dont know what i got no text in the game and in the menu as you can see also graphics are really bad in the game trees look like breeze blocks. i would try and change them or fiddle with the graphics settings but i wouldnt no what to click on as i got no text the game doesnt run slow though and theres a good frame rate any ideas on my problem plz help

also well i shouldnt say this but the game i got off my mate who did a back up copy for me, may help solve the problem

I'd suggest getting the patch update from nvidia

Also, update to

DirectX 8.1 (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/downloads/drx81.asp)

You might have a bad burn though... if the previous suggestions don't work... I'd try to get another copy burned

since i posted this someones told me to download this patch for the blocky text or lack of it

maybe that will work and then ill try and knock up the graphics thanx anyway only had the game today

GTA3 has an issue with Nvidia cards. Read the readme and the the patch at the url.

but it now looks like this, lol
right i managed to change the graphics they now look minted it must of being set to low. when i was trying to play the game before i put the patch on i must of changed the language but cant see how to change it back so thats my next problem

hers a screen shot of the language i wont post any more screenshots this is the last one, graphics look good and game plays good i think but i cant stand this text its better than no next but i still hate it cant understand it
