I put my H2O system on my 1600+ and decided to push it. I never really pushed it past the FSB past 147 due to heat. Well, with agua, I was able to push it all the way to 160 @44C. This is a huge difference from 140 @50C with the HHC-001. It is the second sys in my sig. After some more burn in, I might try to push it higher.
Edit: Burn in is F@H

I don't know what stepping it is but I know that it is old because I've had it since just before Christmas

So how big of an OC was this? I don't know the default speed of an XP 1600+.... and, is your water cooling loud? Expensive? More details please..

The 1600+ is at 1.4 GHz and I have it at 1.68GHz for now. It's nowhere close to what the newer AROIA or AGOIA steppings are doing, but I'm on my way to see just how far this baby will go. H2O setup is the Maze2 with an Eheim pump and a Chevette heater core as the radiator w/ 120mm fan sucking air into the case. I have cardboard around the fan to make sure that it sucks air through the entire radiator, and that helps reduce noise. I can't really tell by how much because my dually is right next to it and it has 4-80mm and 1-120mm fans. Not that loud, but noticible enough for me. I plan on getting the innovatek sys for that rig. Gotta wait for the $$ to come in, and for the wife to leave
