I'm about to build another system here but I have a couple questions

first of all, the ax-7 looks a bit large.. has anyone attached it successfully to a kx7-333?

secondly, what kinda fan should attach the ax-7 to? i am probably going to buy it from frozencpu (http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu/cpu-tri-02.html), and I plan to use the 2200+. the options are:

Sunon 36CFM
Sunon 50CFM
Panaflo 32CFM
Panaflo 24CFM
Tornado 84CFM

I was leaning towards the panaflo 32CFM.. just because of the noise.. but I'm not sure how well that will cool. I sure don't want the tornado.. are the sunon's loud?

thanks in advance

I am assuming those are 80mm fans if so I would get the 53 CFM mechatronics fan, runs at 39 Dba which is really good for 53 CFM. Get one at www.plycon.com nice prices, shipping is a little high but not bad

The AX-7 fits just fine on my kx7333. You might want to mount the HSF first before you put the mobo in the case. The socket is in the top left corner and it would be hard to mount it once the mobo is already in the case, especially if it's a mid tower.

The AX-7 is about the same size as the Alpha 8045, and the 8045 fits on the KX7-333 easily. Your only concern would be the fact that because the CPU socket is so far up on the board, the HSF might come very close to the bottom of the PSU.
