my new Gainward card will be in today. before i put it in i plan reattaching the ramsinks with arctic silver adhesive, and put AS3 under the gpu cooler. (all along with all other parts of my comp that need it.)my question is about the freezer method to get the sinks off. How do i go about doing this?
Thank You for the help. This board rocks.

Good luck! I've heard alot of bad things about the Gainward ti4400 cards :( I still plan on getting one but over at new egg I see lots of people screaming about them being defective. Not sure if that's just a portion or a large majority however. Hope you're not one of the casualties.

me either!!! no other video card out there has the feature i wanted on a geforce card. VIVO mainly. I had a Visiontek Ti4200 128Mb card and was highly impressed...just that for $270 from best buy was too much and not having a video out cable or any other connector wasnt worth it. so i took it back and ordered this card for $267. It had better work. If not i'll just wait till next NV30, and spend the cash on other needed items, such as better Ram. :)

The eVGA card has VIVO, and for $50 less too. Comes with the cables and software and everything.:)

hmm...i looked...but the gainward just seemed the best to me at the time i bought, after research. my Visiontek GF2 Ti is serving its purpose well right now though.
