Got the Interac Hammerhead FX.. Why doesn't it work with my computer?

I tried it on my XP computer, and it doesn't get detected.. I tried it on my Windows ME computer, and it worked perfectly...

Why is this? Does anyone know if the Interac Hammerhead FX just doesn't work on XP computers? Or how do I get it to work?

the hammerhead fx has issues with win2k based os's. I know it is possible to get it working with 2k, so i would guess xp should work also. definately update the drivers as some such as mine only come with win98 drivers not 2k/xp

The Interact Hammerhead FX is not supported on XP nor do they ever plan to support it. You can use it as a default controller but you will never be able to get the full functionality for it. Interact has it in the support FAQ for the joystick. I had to give mine away to someone who was still using 98 and buy a new gamepad. I bought the USB Wingman RumblePad from Logitech... almost the same price as the Hammerhead was and does everything it did, without the batteries. 2 analog sticks, 1 digital, 9 buttons, with software for mapping keys to buttons.
