CS 1.5 is out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its pretty cool, the interface is alot less buggy, and smoother. Supports 1600x1200, and whatknot. The jumping seems to have changed again too. But try it out for yourself :)

It barely changed anything. Mostly cosmetic gameplay changes etc that they SHOULD have put in 1.4.

anyways, i'm getting bluescreens with 1.5 now, never had a single one with 1.4 *sigh*

That sucks, im having ping issues, every sever i connect to my ping is 200+. cs1.5 worked the night i dl'd it, but now my pings are horrible :(

Well see, i just got my computer yesterday and i havent had the chance to get it yet....

The other computer i had i had that version, and i didnt have a job at the time so that was very convient for me, and btw half life is about $30 in the Electronic Botique around here.

first 1.4 which made thousands leave the cs-community, and now 1.5 which is a more buggy bugfix than ever...

valve dont know what they are doing.... why couldnt they just leave it alone? 1.3 was just fine.

there isnt much new about cs1.5 from 1.4. a new map de_piranesi and that u can play in 1600x1200 max res

1.3 wasnt that different from 1.4, and 1.5 is almost no different from 1.4. so if u dont like CS dont play, it hasnt changed really in the last 3 versions (besides jumping)

there is some more changes than just the jumping. (from 1.3) (1.5 has some bugfixes, and has created some others)

-jumping (mentioned)
-walk speed
-delay in response to shooting when u change weapon (i.e switching from rifle to pistol, there is a delay to when u can actually fire a bullit)
-lower height needed to make feet-sound when jumping of boxes etc.
-pistols less accurate when jumping
-less damage using USP
-changed deathmode interface (like 1st person view when dead)
-makes more demand on system resources (fps dropping on lower end gfx cards)

these are the major changes I know about. there are more, but I dont know what they are specifically.

personally i'd like to see jumping, walk speed and weapon switching delay go back to the way it were in 1.3

i've found that tweaking around with the netcode settings myself I have found values that makes my connection smoother (less or 0 loss and choke) than following directly whats said in the report (link above)
