Ok, as much as I think the XP interface reminds me of a CareBears intestinal track.... I think the toolbar and icons, etc do have an astetically pleasing appearance. Does anyone know of a (preferably free) way/program that allows you to get 2000 to resemble it?
For the record I *hate* the default interface for XP.... I feel like I'm in an OS for preschoolers (not to dis anyone who likes using XP mind you). Kinda like a Care Bear just blew up in my computer.

Check out www.windowblinds.net. Download the program, and all the skins you could ever ask for.
Youl need this regestry file though, or it makes the system lag pretty bad, especially in games. You can also get it (and other sizes as well) at www.tweak3d.net in the win2k mem/hd guide.

People suck, or their machines do, or both, because I never had a lagging problem with Window Blinds.
I stopped using it though, because it wouldn't allow the BPFTP bit-rate and file zie readouts to display correctly.

Impact Software's Microangelo 5.5. Costs $60, but it is the best. Stardock's SkinStudio is another one.

I didnt get that from the windowblinds site, its just something that i discovered that cured my problem. Whenever i played Counterstrike with windowblinds running i would get this little 1/4sec lag every 2sec or so. Was really strange. Applied that tweak, and it was gone.

I have Windows 2000 pro and I have a noticeable, I'll call it "stutter" in my system. The mouse will hesitate (freeze) every 3 - 8 seconds. I notice it most when I play an online game.
Will this attachement resolve that ?? This is the first time I have seen anyone else mention it with the same OS that I have. It is really annoying.
System stats:
Abit ST6 (Raid)
Celeron 900
256 Meg SDRAM
Gainward GeForce2 GTS 450 (gold sample)
SB Live! Value
2 NIC's (1-internet, 1-LAN)
2 Maxtor HD (both 7200 RPM)
300 watt PS
Thanks in advance for any reply
