Ok i got an asus ps533 with 512 ram.. now for the questions

What do i need to change in the bios to make things faster? or leave it at default?
Agp size? 256? thats what i changed it to or leave at 64 Gf 4 ti 4200 card i have.

the case is a antec 1000.. WHen i put the cd and dvd rom drive in i put the connectors on the side and when i try to slide into the case the metal (shiny) part gets caught up on the case piece its like a little rectangle. how do i get the cdrom and dvd to go all the way into the case? what am i doing wrong?

when i pick the speed of the pc i have 2 choices.. 2.2 or 1.6. is this normal? i know i bought the pc overclocked already from the place i bought it from.

How do i make it faster? how do i change the fsb? i see so many numbers, also the memmory thing to its at 1:1 i think is that where i should leave it?

NOw i installed all the drivers from the cd its bios 1006 if i try to upgrade from the asus upgrade program it doesnt work.

When i run the asus monitor program probe, the chasis fan beeps, it says 2191 and then goes to 2200 i think and says okay.. is there something wrong with my chassis fan? it goes back and forth and i had to turn off the monitoring of that fan.

Please bare with me guys im a newbie and i had to reinstall win xp because when i put my old hd in it wouldnt boot it says NTFDS missing or something to that effect.. ****ed me off big time..

NYorker,

I'm not an Asus nor Antec person but I do have a simple suggestion. Get everything up and running together before you start tweaking. After you're sure about the system being stable with all your components then tweak. I did it differently and wasted time.

Enjoy that new system!!
