Hey everyone, I have a little problem. I just installed my nice new LiteOn 40x burner. Great drive, amazingly fast and no coasters so far. The thing is, when I insert a CD, it will read it. But, the first cd's name will stay on the drive until I reboot windows. For example, if I insert a Starcraft Broodwar CD first on windows boot, it will read that cd fine, name and all the files. But if I take that CD out and insert another, like a burnable cd, the drive will read the files on the cd, but will not refresh the cd name and will not let me burn to that cd, saying that it is not a blank disc. What can I do to fix this problem? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I get the same thing w/ mine in XP Pro. Never noticed it in 98SE.
I will be interested in a fix.

The same happens to me using 98SE. Didn't have problems when burning.

Weird. My 12x CD-ROM is too slow to run a CD on XP.

Sometimes if your chipset/ide drivers are not installed stuff like that will happen. It doesn't neccesarily have to do with the os that you are running.
