well since i have moved i have kept my computer on the cable internet as long as i possibly can. but it is now to where i have to take it along with me to my new humble abode. wont have cable(for a while) and cant get dsl there so i will have to get a dial up connection. but that wont be till next week. so im sorry team 32 but i wont be around for about a week or so till i get a dial up(very grrrr) account.
its going to suck going from cable to dial up but hope fully soon ill get cable again.

Sorry you'll be away for a while BamBam and I know much it sucks to be on dialup because that is what I'm stuck on. I can't get DSL because the stupids at Bellsouth say I'm too far away from their POP(I checked and it was 3.2 miles by my odometer, approx. 17,000 feet) and they don't have cable access in my area either. I'm seriously considering going with the 2 way sattelite DSL service from Directway but it is expensive to set up. You can still fold with multiple rigs on dialup though; I'm doing it with 7.
Fold on when you get internet access!

We will miss you man. Going back to dail up sucks. I know how you feel. When I moved I lost my cable connection roo. But I couldnt stand paying money for a dail up so I just choice not to have anything rather to go back to it:D I just used my friends comp with cable across the street. :D Of course I wasnt folding then and I really didnt need the internet too much. But in your case you do, cause you got to get back to folding as soon as possible.

Go with satellite DSL; you can get that anywhere. ;)

in the mean while, you could use the free ISP (ie Juno, Netzero,) although they don't offer much hours, but at least you can still send in your WUs :)

That's true, but to get going will cost you in the neighborhood of $500. I think it is $299 for the equipment now and around $200 for professional installation.:( Because it is 2 way, with an uplink at your house, the government in it's infinite wisdom:rolleyes: makes them have a liscensed, certified installer put the system in.:( I guess that they are scared that you will aim it by someone's window or something and irradiate them with RF energy.

Hi Mulciber,
Nice to see you visiting. BamBam is just one of several extremely talanted people doing the avatars for us here at OC. IdeaMagnate just did mine for me, got it to me this afternoon. It is a proteinA that he did for my avatar.
BTW, I haven't checked you guy's stats page in the last few days. Has How??? got his machines back folding yet? That guy can turn out a heck of a lot of WU's for the project, even though he won't share any with us.;) Be cool and Fold on!:burn:

yea, apparently he was out sick for a day and someone improperly ghosted their machines causing a massive loss of folding power. Looks like he re-ghosted all of their machines now with the new version 3. The new core is much faster than the ones he was on before and it shows, his last two updates were 350+ EACH.

350 each update! Man, that is really turning in some work. You find the Vs. 3 is faster? I'm still running 2.19 console on my rig, guess I'll have to update to vs. 3 on my rigs today.
Fold on!
