How do you fly the stupid dodo

In gta3 how can you fly it, it always wants to dive on me!

there are many guides online that explain and teach u how to fly it, it's tricky at first but u get teh hangof it

i got 47secs on PS2 and i have proof on it too! its easy to fly it for long!
Just start at one end of the run way and go sraight and all u do is press forward (DONT TURN) or u will crash :beer:
by only going one direction u can stay up for long!
The way i got 47 secs was luck! i hits a default whole in the map and was transferd to portland! whre i started on the road at full speed in my useless little Dodo!

I knew you could fly a plane in GTAIII, but when I was setting the controls I didn't have a clue what it meant by Dodo Up and Dodo Down, I guess I know now. :)

the ps2 verson is easy but the computer verson is hard I have know idea why the stupid plane keeps on diving.

actually i can fly most of the sports car, use the no gravity cheat and press down while going really fast, its pretty cool.

oh shoot, i flew the plane for 25 secs, and i drove the police boat, it rocked, i wanna try flying the plane to another island that is more then 25 seconds away.

noobs, i flew the dodo for almost 10 minutes on PS2. i didn't get to the third city on the PC version yet but i'll be there soon.

then you will see how hard it is to fly the pc verson. My max is like 10 seconds. and my friend flew his for ever in the ps2 verson and then crashed into the bridge

ok people, i flew the DODO for 455 secs on PC! i took a screen shot but i don't know how to post it. tell me how and i will.

I flew for about 83 seconds on the PC version, which at that point I crashed into a stallion on Portland Island.

This is what I did.

1. Line up the Dojo with the line in the middle of the runway. Hold the handbrake and press the gas.

2. Release the handbrake.

3. Tap the dojo down button. It will flap, and it will take off and land back down. You will see sparks.

4. Hold the dojo up button for a second. The Dojo will take off.

Now that you should have the Dojo in the air

5. Repeatly tap the gas button.

6. Repeatly tap the dojo down button, but not that fast. Leave like a second inbetween,

I hope that helps. If you can do it with a varation, please tell me.

you basically do what Cullam3n said. except i use an analog controller for flying the dodo.so i just push forward on the control stick, just enough so it doesn't leave the ground, then at the end of the runway you slowly let off the stick so it will start to lift. then you have to keep the plane level and NEVER make the plane climb, if you do you'll just stall it. to turn you have to make very slow turns and make very light corrections, it isn't a F16 you know. landing is very hard, i've only landed it twice. other than that you have to becarful not to fly over unique jumps.

i also play MS flight sim 2002. similar flight model.
if you guys want me to post the pic, let me know how to do it.

oh yeah, i never let off the gas. you need all the speed you can get and letting off will cause it to start bobbing up and down.you all know what happens then
