Special Ranking For FOLDING/SETI

I just had a thought. Could we get special members ranking for individuals that folded (F@H) or crunched (SETI) a certain amount of WUs for our teams. Just something like "FAH Member" or "SETI Member." Anyone support my idea on this?

No, I don't think that would work. Not member status. Check out this (http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=43970&highlight=seti) thread, bodezafa had a great idea, but it never made it.

I think bodezefa's idea makes more sense, but Skip couldn't code it. Too bad. =(

Yeah but I dont think this would take any reprogramming or anything, would it? Or is the correct term new coding?

Coding is the right term. Check Skip's post in that thread I linked to. He essentially said the coding would be more trouble than it's worth.

I think for now, the optimum solution is a simple credit in our signatures.

well most of that is done by donations. i know ridenow donated and his got changed. the same thing usually goes with the rank. i don't know if it would be fair for the other poeple in the forum if the folding and seti members could get that changed but the rest have to donate for it. i think the sigs get more attention anyway. i have talked to many that say all they do is see the avatar on the leftside and don't pay attention to much else.

it may be a good idea BUT i am not now or will i ever want or expect anything extra/special for my folding. this not ment to flame or put down anybody just me personaly.:D :D

maybe u could get a folding title at 1000 points or something, so there arent too many peeps he has to change, and gives a good high # to shoot for..
i only have 750 points, and im 93rd place

I realized after I left my house today that our Avators are the best way to get our team member status noticed. Maybe I jumped the gun on this but at the time it seemed like a cool idea.

Edit: NASsoccer your about the only member off hand I can think of that has a custom rank besides senior members, mods, and the admins. Do you got to meet a post quoto for that or have to contribute money?

there aren;t a whole lot with special ranks but a few i know that. back when we had the buy skip a server fun i donated money. well i found out a month after that that because i donated i could get my rank changed... so i did:)

NAS, you beat me to it. The offer from Skip is still as I understand it on the table. Anybody who is willing to send him $25 will be able to get their own personalized rank.
