A stick of 512 Mushkin PC2100 2-2-2 RAM costs $186 at newegg, and 512 Crucial PC2100 cost $118. Is the Mushkin really worth the $68?

I would by the corsair xms 3000 ddr, its only a few dollars more than the mushkin and its guaranteed to do 183 fsb at cas2 and will go higher than the mushkin. If your not planning on going to high with the fsb the crucial will probably fine. It alll depends on what you are planning on doing.

If you really want to get the mushkin memory, get their 512mb pc3000 memory.
It's been tested to run at 366mhz and only cost $151 at newegg.

The corsair pc3000 cas2 will go higher than the mushkin 2-2-2 pc2100. In reviews the corsair xms3000 has reached approximately 220 fsb. Yes the mushkin can do pc3200 but that is 200 fsb not 220.

Are you talking about the mushkin pc3200 or the pc2100 rated at 2-2-2? www.octools.com did a review on the mushkin pc2100 and I think the corsair was tested on www.amdmb.com. but I'm not positive. Plus I have tested the corsair xns3000 at 208 mhx fsb on my 8k3a+.

Oh, I thought you were talking about the pc2100.. Well then I guess either the corsair or mushkin would be good.
