I just replaced my MSI Geforce3 ti200 w/ a gainward geforce4 ti4600.

However, everything went smoothly but now there are two issues.

1. when i right click on the desktop to access the display properties, the two tabs dealing with the graphics card remain labeled MSI. I did notice that when I was installing, it would recognize the card as an MSI Geforce 4 ti4600 and I had to manually select the regualr Nvidia GeForce4 Ti4600.

2. 3dMark2001 SE will not run anymore. It says I do not meet the required specifications. Using Dxdiag, I found that my directdraw is not functioning. All files are present and I tried uninstalling the card's drivers, reinstalling directX, then reinstalling the graphics card's drivers. No luck.

3. Is there some reminant drivers from my MSI card thats screwing things up. Or are there some registry stuff that I need to get rid of? Is my Gainward card supposed to be detected as an MSI Geforce4 ti4600?

Do not reload. Try disabling everything in dxdiag and then re-enabling all. This has always fixed this problem for me.

Sounds to me that if it's detecting it as a MSI then you've got some old drivers left in there. Try Detonator Destroyer...

You mostlikey have a ghosted driver. Go into safe mode and see howmany video cards it lists. Delete them all and then reinstall you should be all set. You might also have to uninstall the MSI utility software under add/remove programs.
