i tried to max out my ram yesterday as the forums were
down all day and i was pretty bored.

it was running a bit unstable at 200mhz but it is now
perfectly stable at 195!

this stuff is awesome and i reccomend it to anyone.

turbo timings with cas 2 and all, @ 3.0 vdimm.
is it safe to run the vdimm this high? i may be able
to push it farther with some more volts.

here is my sandra bench, wish it were a bit higher.

and i wish i could push my AGOIA a bit higher.

Try CAS 2-3-3. I know that the Mushkin PC2100 will go to PC3200@CAS 2-3-3 1T with 2.5v. The EpoX board you got will OC like a mother,:D !

BTW, get that cat out of here. Frigging thing scared tha s*** outta me, man

Pretty sure the limit of the memory is no where being reached as it is rated 3000mb/s and you are only pushing 2700's.

LOL i was hoping my cat would scare someone some day!

i'm using the 2321 bios i think. the stock bios wouldn't even let
me boot into windows with the mushkin pc3000 on all stock settings. i had to totally reinstall windows after a format and then buy a new floppy drive to flash to the new bios.

but luckily i have a crucial back-up stick :p

placid, i tried 200 at turbo and it wasnt too stable. should i
try relaxing the timings and upping the FSB?

CAS 2-3-3 oughta work. Try it. Now. RIGHT NOW!!

BTW, the reason that cat scared me was because I was reading your post(Using a v.92), and suddenly it just appeared. Damn near had a heart attack :)

Yes try slower timings. The 8K3A does have a 1/5 pci divider but no agp divider past 1/2 so it is possible your video card will become a problem but you should see video pixelation if it is.

I would try these settings then if they are stable try setting each to the faster setting until you find one that causes instability.

Motherboard make and model: Epox EP-8K3A and/or Asus P4S333
DRAM Clock: 200 MHz
RAS Precharge: 3
RAS-to-CAS Delay: 3
CAS Latency: 2.5
Command Rate: 2T
Memory Voltage: motherboard default

Starfox, Great O/C!!!

Have the same memory and very good air cooling and that just makes me hate my mobo  even more. no multi or voltage options, fsb options are very limited.
worst o/c mobo in the world.::(

yea maxima! the 8k3a is awesome! i had an ak31 that wasn't
too bad.

okay, im at 210 FSB at normal settings placid, the only thing
that scared me was that the bios was all wack and had
weird lines going up and down it.

"" "" "" "" "" "" kinda like that but i could read it and all. my
"" "" "" "" "" "" Vdimm is at 3.1 right now. so just try
"" "" "" "" "" "" upping the timings until it goes total wack
"" "" "" "" "" "" on me?

right now im on cas 2 -3 -3 2CMD

now im gonna try turbo settings hehe :p

it started funkin out on me, random reboots and suck.

i'm at turbo timings @ 200fsb. the same i was at before.

but WTF? my sandra scores are lower than
my 195 FSB at same timings. i guess i'll just keep it how i had
it. damn i wanted 3mbs!

Yes that video problem shows up in the bios first.
Some say it's the video card not liking the agp bus speed some say it's a problem with the KT333 chipset.
215 is good :) 215/5=43 pci and 107.5 agp.

Do you get close to or over 3000mb/s yet?

nope, all scores were lower than my 195 fsb.
that's why im confused. oh well, back to 195 for me :p

Yes Penguin4x4 the abit board has better memory bandwith thatn the epox.

Starfox,
Now that you know your hard drive(s) are ok at a pci bus of 43 try setting your fsb to 43x4 or 172 and set the pci divider to 1/4 and use the fastest memory timings and see what your mem score is.

i did wut you said but just makes my PCI high and MEM low.

SSS, what voltage you run at, i figured that out when it
wouldn't boot at 3.2 :p
