I use the Radio Shack 15-watt Iron with the really fine tip, works great for mods if you ask me. I've done tons of HIP6301 mods with it. The tips are easily replaced and only cost $0.99, so its a great Iron.... let me find it and i'll post the Part number.

Radioshack.com, but just like everything else there, it’s out of stock now.
I did a search and found this place (http://www.bomir.com/online/goot/cxg_series.htm) that had ‘em. They cost more though.

I have a Lenk model L25 from Wall Lenk Corp., It's a tiny (7 1/4") 25 watt iron. I got it at Meijer's (great lakes area super market chain) for around $20. It comes with some flux core solder and different tips. 8 years old and still works fine.
Just about any hardware store will have them, look in the plumbing section around the propane torches.
