View Full Version : Stupid but Important question
After I set up my watercooling system and run it b4 I turn on my pc does it have to be running first...can therebe air in the waterblock for a few seconds until the water is pumped toit? will that fry my cpu? basically do I have to make sure the water blcok is ful of water b4 the PC is powered or what? Since the pump is on a 120vplug into my surge strip I can turnon the systemlike a fewsecnds b4 the pc if thats whats required? I really don't wanna make this a first and have a fried cpu......

well as long as wb is on the cpu for a few seconds (under 5) i guess it would be fine, just as long as the water will reach it in time and circulate too..
butjust to be safe should i turnon the watercoling system like 10 seconds before the system just to give it time for the water to pass 1 loop

definatley that would be the beter idea. i thought u had it rigged so water turns on when comp turns on, but if u can put water on first then do that.

You would be much safer to turn it on for a few secs before booting up; I wouldn't risc the processor without water, even if it is only for a few seconds.

just one thing to remember turn on your pump eventually, dont forget it or you will ruin your pc, laugh now but you would be surprised at how many people have forgot. So just remember to turn it on. And yeah turning it on before to pc would probably help.
