I've heard that these are the best for beginners to water cooling. Are they safe, quiet and effective? Where is the best place to get this kit? Thanks.
Oh man ..
Be careful there !!!
I ordered a pump from there about a month ago ..
Nuttin yet !!!
Seems Leufkin sold the biz to a guy .. And things are a bit wacko ..
I think the new guy is trying to get things in order ,, but its takin' awhile ..
Go to the forums he has and you will see what I mean ..

Well if not leufken, then what kit should I get. Remember I'm a beginner and don't have a clue as to what I'm doing. I want something that's easy and self explanatory, and comes with everything that I need to get going.

really depends on how much money u r willing to spend. if u got the money u can get a swiftech kit. i heard they perform pretty well and arent to hard to put together.

I'm willing to spend between 150 and 200 dollars. Closer to 150 if possible.

you should build your own kit
go to geminicool.com get a gemini high or normal flow block
becooling.com get a via aqua 1300
find some silicon or vinal tubing locally, get a 86chevette or 89camaro heatercore, make a shroud for fan(s) and a T or a rez.... anything i missed?

You'll wanna pick up some Arctic Silver and some Water Wetter I believe.
Price out a Pump .. a Water Block .. And a rad/heater core ..
And some tubing ...
The rest is imagination and a few bucks !!:)
Edit :
Oh man ... Geek is too quick !!!! hehe

All of that is way over my head. I need to do some reading on water cooling I guess. I want something totally safe and easy to do, therefore my interest in a kit. Thanks for all of the suggestions. Any more?

I hate to rain on a newb (don't let my post count fool you, I've been doing this for a bit) but if you don't know what you're doing, then don't get into watercooling... just yet.
Do some research, read all the Overclockers.com articles that you can, do Google searches... basically, absorb as much info as possible and then use that to your advantage.
Read some reviews of the various pre-built kits and decide if that's how you want to do it.
Check out some of the all-in-one cases (Koolance, to name one) and maybe that's better.
Remember, water and electricity don't mix so watercooling shouldn't be something you just jump into... I've got a fried Geforce3 as a testament to that.

you hit it rite on the head, i was just gonna say almost that same thing, or similar thing.... but yea, read up on it, and get a little more info on everything.... wait untill you feel comfortable with it...
Wurde ..
But in the end ... Build it yourself !!
BECooling makes a reasonable kit for around $120. It's alright for a beginner.

-I've got a complete kit I had from them on ebay.
It has:
291GPH MaxiJet 1000 submerged pump
Black edge water block (similar to Maze 1)
Black Ice Extreme
ABout five feet of tubing
.
.
.
Check it out! :)

Why are you getting out of watercooling?!
hehe...
I no longer need the exteremely low noise. I threw my AX-7 w/ Tornado back on.
...and I want to try and get a new videocard. :p
I started with the Becooling kit and found it very simple to put together, don't get me wrong I read every single thing I could find even still I read everything new. The best weapon you will ever have is information.
Oh, and if you're wondering what the kit looks like outside the case:
*edit*
The white residue is that of the Marine GOOP I used to seal the resevoir. When I got it, it was leaking from the power chord. I sealed it up, and can guarantee to you that it doesn't leak.

It's really easy to build your own as maskedgeek said. I built my own. Bought a maze 2 WB, heater core with 5/8 in 5/8 out that fit in my case. A Via 1300 pump w/ 1/2 inch barbs. 2 120 fans for heater core and 10 ft silicone hose. BANG watercooled just like that, cake! BTW no res, didnt feel the need for it.

oh and its sooo much more fun to build your own! especially when you have acess to a mill sometimes! then you can design and mill your own blocks!
