Gotta tell you I'm pretty impressed with my local Staples store. I'm walking around the clearance table the other day and spot a demo 19" Envision monitor on an end cap marked at $149 after a $70 rebate. I track down a sales manager and ask him if they can do better on the price since it's a demo. He says they'll knock another $30 off the price. BAM, I'm taking this baby home. I get home and set it up and start to get the rebate stuff together. I then realize the rebate expired the day b4 I bought it. Now I'm all bummed out thinking I'm gonna take this thing back. I call them the next a.m. and talk to another sales manager. He apologizes and asks me what I want to do. I tell him I like the monitor but I'll just bring it back for a refund. He tells me if I'm happy with the monitor to bring in my receipt and they'll just give me $70 and I don't have to mess around with the rebate crap. O.K. so now I'm all geeked up again cause I get to keep my new monitor. I go back to the store and not only do I get $70, I also get the tax back on it. 19" Envision monitor final cost - $114.80
BIG Kudos to Staples on this one.
