Personally I prefer visiontek, they have good support and their products are always rated as the fastest and stablest. I am not knocking Hercules just MHO.
The $40 you save pays for 1/2 the SB Live X-gamer.

i say that the hercules is the best bet if you want good cooling, but other than that there is no real difference between them
