I just went to statsman (http://www.statsman.org/folding2stats/32.html) and saw the latest graph. Rage is supposed to pass us around the 29th to the 30th of August! :eek: :mad: Personally, I think that this is TOO SOON!! So, get folding! :D :D :cool:

yeah they are gaining fast and ISS helped to slow it a little but but we still need to add a lot more!! A lot of us have pending projects that should really help out the team- so even if they do pass us, they will is no way build a lead. they might be trying to beat us, but we are trying to beat [H] and OCAU. We are trying to get the hype up around here and our numbers have shown it. as ploaf said this s the first time we have even had over 1000 procs active, and be it change over or not or whatever, it still say 1000 and we know a lot have been added. the team is growing and we are all out recruiting- and we won't stop!!!

the ISS thing was surely a nice boost for the team, and hopefully there are a few more suprises just like it on the way. while i can't bring that kinda power up i have some ideas to get some more people to join up and start folding!!!

You guys are still gaining pretty fast. 450 points/day fast the last time I looked. Anyway it's given us a shot in the arm.
You're right that production can take a hit pretty quick from random problems, especially if they all happen to one or two large farms. Hope that doesn't happen too much and you guys stay on track.
We will continue the effort and hopefully it pays off. The race is a good one :)

some how i just don't see google telling you how to use their toolbar to fold for other teams- do they really think some people are that naive. Of course, we all know that whenever folding is installed that there is always a cfg file:D

i will certainly try very hard to have our school comps folding. we have 24 p3 800's that few i put to fold this year, coming year i will try to put all of them to fold. if just somehow i can lock the folding thing bottom right so noone can play with it or close it, or if i could hide it..
also i have 24 p3 933's at another lab i will try to get next year to fold but its not that certain. just wait til the new school year starts!!!

You can get EMIII--when you put it into "stealth" mode, it's almost impossible to get it back up. It takes it out of the system tray, so if you don't know it's there, you'd never find it. To get it out of "stealth mode" you have to hold down scroll lock, with everything either closed or minized, for 30 seconds or more. But, that didn't work for me, which is why I got foldmonitor. But I'm sure that it would keep people from finding it. :D

If you can get the program to run as user admin and enter the admin password then the folding program will run as if admin started it.

However, I assume you don't know the admin password, so just enter your username and password and the program will run as if you started it.

Make sure you have permission before installing F@H as I got in a whole load of trouble when I tried to run it at my school.

This is my understanding of the situation, feel free to correct me.

You want the Folding program to run as a service. This will run in the background and at the login screen.

Now, at the login screen, noone is logged in, so noone can run any programs. By giving it your username and password it will run as if you had logged in and started it, even at the login screen.

Hate not the Google for the Google is your friend. It helps you find anything you want on the web for good or well..... They don't hide anything either. ;)
As for the toolbar. We may be able to use that to put up some wu's for our team if there is indeed a config file that goes along with it. I have not dl'd the latest google toolbar so I would have no way of knowing.

It is a competition and we want to win. The way we win this contest is not by companing about how people recruit or try and hold them back. The way we win is to step up and fold 24/7 and get as many machines as we can folding.

See if you can get technology labs to fold. Don't install without permission though. We all need to work a little harder instead of complaining about tactics. I have seen people complain about alot here. One of them ones when Rage 3D came out with the program that had a button to install folding. We shouldn't care about the other teams. All we have to do is worry about ourselves and what we are folding. That is the only thing that is going to help Stanford which is the bottom line of what we are trying to do.

no, you guys got my post all wrong, what i was trying to say is that there should be some sort of thing written on the d/l page about installing folding for them. and in some sorts we are in a war, a war against these illnesses.

WE are helping humanity, and that's all that counts.

we really got to step it up a little its my 2 week folding now and i got 6 ghz in 4 comps folding now it was so noise i had to lan 3 of them in the laundry with nothing but a box. i monitor them thru lan. I'm think of getting a tele line and isp pulled to my brothers lan cafe and get his 8 cellys folding too. but i'm straped for cash. is there a way to save the client to disk and copy to another computer to do the folding then bring it back to send??

both teams have upped production quite a bit. oc.com had closed the gap by 2000 pts a week but now rage3d has raised the bar once again and now the gap back to 6000 a week.

I'm tired of hearing that how? is carrying rage3d last time I checked it was a team effort. who knows the shoe might be on the other foot one day. If I had a choice of having a team with one folder putting out 1000 a day or 100 folders putting out 10 a day I would pick the latter of the two.

I think team #32 and #64 are very different, seperate teams. Joining together would make it too easy to beat [h] and OCAU.

I am enjoying this competition. OC.com is OC.com and if they join with anyone else then I will join another team :D

i don't see that: both [H] and OCAU are putting out huge numbers and even if you combined we wouldn't be out producing them by too much and by the time we caught them they could easily have met our combined output. they seem to be able to add at will...

hmmm maybe. combining the to team gives me mixed feelings. yes we would double are team production but where ever we are on the team rankings would change. It would be kind of cool though. we could add (oc.com) or (Rage3d) after our usernames to see who has the most members in the top 100

Just because Rage3d is out producing Overclockers and will soon pass us that doesn't mean we are defeated. Anything could happen down the road or who knows where the teams might be in a year from now. Never say die

I just won a new Gigabyte 7DX+ in a contest last night....gonna replace the old P/// with it. CPU as yet undetermined, but I'm leaning towards one of these XP1600+ ones with the new stepping that most are getting 1800+MHz out of....

It'll add a few points to the total, anyways. Not enough to stop the onslaught, but a start towards reclaiming 3rd in the near future.
