I tried building my own system and things seemed to be fine except when I upped my fsb. I bought a 1.6 ghz 1900amd cpu. I noticed that it gave a clock speed of 1.2 ghz. The default fsb on the mobo was 100ghz. I upped the fsb to 133, and everything runs fine except when I try to run demos or benchmark with a couple of games that came with my video card. These demos ran fine before I upped the fsb. Now the demos crash shortly after launch and my system reboots. Other system info, leadtek gf4 ti 4200, shuttle gtr2 mb kt333, 512 mb corsair pc 2700 333 ram, 350 enhance ps. Did I need to change the voltage on the cpu from the default? Am I not getting enough juice from my ps? Any other suggestions? Help please. Thank you for any replies!

Welcome to the Forums!!!:D

the Athlonxp family runs on 266fsb, so you are right about setting the FSB at 133. and default voltage should be 1.75, and since you are running at 133(standard), then voltage shouldn't be your problem.

like Compexpert said, whats your temp?

Wow, thanks for the speedy replies. My system temp is 29c/84f
and cpu temp is 43c/109f. When I upped the bus to the 133 setting I also enabled the cpu warning temp function(set it to 53c/127f) and the shutdown temp ( set it to 60c/140f). What do you guys think?

so 43C is your idle temp or load temp? if its idle its a bit high, but still it shouldn't be a problem..what do you use to read your temp? make sure your HSF is pluged in for power.

and did you install the newest 4in1 driver? try reinstall your dentonator and 4in1 driver, so you can be sure its not software problems.
