How hot does RDRAM get?

It really doesn't get all that hot. But extra cooling will always prolong the life of components. However I wouldn't go too extreme. If you have good airflow through your case, you shouldn't even need to add cooling to it.

It does get quite hot to the touch

If you plan on OCing it, mounting a fan to blow on it helps considerably, because while case flow is good, the extra stress is a lot for a component that runs quite hot anyway, and its only a fan, so it wouldn't hurt

I use my computer pretty intensively for hours and hours and i took the ram and its still completely cool, it never gets hot for me...i even took off the fans that blow on top of it to test it and the ram was still cold, maybe its just me but my rdram stays completely cool no matter what
