Well, i have a Volcano 7+ and i have about 98F Load... But thats rare. I dunno why.

My friend has a ASUS A7V333 W/ Athlon Xp 2000+ hes running at 125 F, With artic silver.

And many people have been reporting HIGH HIGH tempatures w/ Volcano 7+'s and Xp 2000's.

Im not going to take the risk and getting that tempature, what is a good heatsink?

I have all of the high end air cool setups and the ax-7 is the best for athlons period.

The AX-7 is a very good heatsink for low rpm fans the temp. does not change very much from a delta to a panaflow or papist. Mine in winter gets not more than 30*c and in summer not more than 35-38*c very good heatsink. The 7+ however is the best hsf that Tt has ever made, never had one but it rates up there in current testing.

LN2 is a waste.. You're taking a big risk of cracking the core. You won't be able to even run the system beyond 24hrs without the core being cracked.

Even if it did work, you would be checking on your computer 24/7 fearing it would die out on you at any second.

The Swiftech MCX462 is the best heatsink, although pricey. 4 Holes to mount, works good with a good fan.

Alpha PAL8045 if you want to use a quiet fan.

AX7 if you must insist. It uses lugs and is fairly cheap. I hate how AMD removed the holes as I never wanted to go back to the lugs again after using the four holes... I use the Alpha PAL8045.

Mr. $T$,
what fan are you using with your AX-7?

I find this line quite interesting:
does not change very much from a delta to a panaflow or papist
