portorock sent me an extra video card and NIC, and with his help team 32 has another 1.8 GHZ folding away! It's an XP1600+ on an 8KHA+. That's just one more step closer to filling the gap in daily production between us and that "other team." Fold on!

Hey Neo, have you gotten that P3 750 I sent you folding yet? I'm wondering what speed you are able to get out of that proc and how many points per week does it average.

Mudd, I guess you missed this thread. (http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=92581) It's running well, but only at 750. I've got an Abit VH6 that it's running in, and I can't get it to run at 133 FSB. Supposedly the VH6 supports other FSBs like 105, 112,... but I haven't figured out how to use them. Any help on that would be appreciated.

I just tried to d/l the manual from Abit but all they had listed is for the VH6, not VH6T. Looking at the VH6 manual, you need to make sure that the "speed error hold" is set to disabled, just like my old BH6 had in bios. Try selecting "user define" and set the multi to 7.5 and fsb speed to around 115 or so and see if it will boot. Also, bump up your vcore to max allowable, assuming that you have good cooling. If it boots at 115, try booting up at progressively higher fsb speeds and if you can change it, set the pci divider to 1/4 to keep from running the pci bus too far out of spec. That cpu used to run @ 112 fsb @ stock 1.65 vcore and run @ 124 fsb @ 1.80 vcore on my old BH6 board.

Yeah, I missed that thread, I was at work at the time. Glad to hear that you got it folding.:)

Let me know if any of the steps I posted help you get that chip up to speed.:)

OK, I found it. I got it running at 115 FSB. it's not stable at 124 or 133. I'll try more later with a better HS ifI can find one.

You should be able to get a good, cheap hsf from KDC or SVC Compucycle. Something along the lines of a FOP32 or Volcano2 should be more than sufficient to cool that 750 down. You should be able to get something for around $10 shipped from either place, I imagine. You won't need any high cfm fans like a Delta screamer; that proc doesn't put out enough heat for that kind of noise.
