Anyone know of a way to adjust the brightness of a mpeg while watching it with Windows Media Player - Or an alternative that has that option built in,
I have some clips takin with my Sony CyberShot that are really dark.
Media Player will let you adjust the brightness (along with contrast, saturation, and hue), but only if you are playing a MPEG-4 format video. If yours happen to be in that format, here's how to get to the controls.
[quote from help file]
From the View menu, point to Settings, then select Microsoft MPEG-4 Video Decompressor.
To change the brightness of the video, move the Brightness slider toward 0 to decrease the brightness or toward 100 to increase the brightness. Brightness reflects the amount of white in the video content.

The alternative programs I can think of are Real Player (which from your other thread I am guessing you don't like), and Quicktime Pro.
