Are you using onboard video?

You processor is fast enough to make a video card upgrade worth it!

If you got yourself a decent Geforce 2 Pro card your score would probably go up to about 3-4K!

Well kinda, but it is all reletive:)

If you were using a Geforce card and got that score, then yes it sucks, but since you are using onboard video it is probably right on target.

My old emachine with a 533 Celeron and a 32MB ATI card got 1700!

LOL thats ok I recently fried my Mobo and Vid card on my setup. A Celeron 700 @875Mhz, Radeon 64Meg DDR VIVO, Abit BH-6, 320Meg PC133 Ram. Both the mobo and vid card are fried from cleaning the damn thing with CO2 vapor... ahh well good riddence time for an upgrade! BTW I could get 2525 marks in 3DMARK2001 with that rig http://service.madonion.com/compare?2k1=2250710 )

Anyways.. not I'm running on my roommates Dell Dimension 667r and OOHHHH what a treat... 128Meg Ram, P3 667, and best of all.... intigrated i810e video chipset!! I borrowed a friends old GF2MX400 for at least a 1/2 assed upgrade for this. But much to my dismay this POS doesn't even have a AGP slot on it!! I posted slightly better marks than you in 3DMARK2001SE with this sad excuse for a computer... I suggest a new video card, or a new mobo AND video card. http://service.madonion.com/compare?2k1=3681353

not to rain on anyones parade but stars is nothing more than a count of how many posts you made. color of those stars (like blue or green) is a reflection on the quality of your posts

when they needed a new server they took donations and kinda like pbs when you hit $25 you could change your rank. at $100 you could change your stars. penguin youll have white stars before long so dont worrie lol

Probably the video card, since it uses 8Mb Memory,(or is yours 16 or 32?), same as my onboard using shared system memory.

as soon as you hit 700+ Mhz I would say video card is your next needed upgrade! unless you don't game, then I guess its back to the CPU!
