Hey guys, it's good to be back, i had to take a lil break because of work and school and some family stuff but i am back and i have a brand new system, i was actually suprised that i was still able to logon with my ol'nick, but i have a few questions.....

What happned to the GD Forum??? that was a wicked forum, talk about whatever, great for getting to know your fellow members

and what happned to the post counts??? i see that they are in my profile but why not under my stars????

i am assuming that there were removed because of post padding that seemed to be running rampant before i was forced to take some time off

well anyways, good to be back

GD is now GCRD, its a little stricter but as long as things are kept civil and kinda on-topic, than the mods let 'em slide.

and post counts are gone, we just have the stars now. people's posts were being judged by their post count and not the quality of the post, so we changed it.

and a big difference youll see from back than to now is:

WE HAVE A LOT MORE MEMBERS!

a lot more. seriously, the number of forum regulars is much larger than it was.

glad one of u old-scoolies came back, now whatever happened to FerrariF50, one of the members who 1st welcomed me

Nice to have you back cowboy long time no see, hope all is well for you.

1) The General Disucssion Forum was changed to General Computer Related Forum as the educational and informational aspect of this forum was being lost in general chat. Another reason was that the classifieds now have a 100 post limit in order to reduce the oportunity of 'Trolls' exploiting our users. Forum Members with less posts than this can not use the classifieds and the lack of general chat area makes spaming your way to the post requirement a harder task. (we also have a set of dedicated Troll hunting moderators, who are doing a great job of keeping the classifieds clean.)

2) The post count was taken away as this was begining to be seen by some as an indication of your value to these forums and a kind of status. The Moderators and Admin wished to avoid this kind of thinking and thus it was removed. The post count can still be viewed available under the users profile though.

Cool, thanx for the info.

He's around, he's around. I'm sure he visits OTHER boards too.
