Okay my visiontek gf4 ti4600 oc's like crap. It goes to 325/755. This is with ramsinks and a crystal orb. I'm gonna sell it and get a new gf4 ti4600. What are the best ocing ones? I've heard good things about abit.

you would just get a new card for OCing?? that's pretty intense, I mean with the one you have now, no games had even taken advantage of it yet. And even if you get another one and OC it, I'd think you'd barely see a 10% increase....I maybe wrong :)

It just sucks that I change the cooling on it and oc lower than the other cards out there. Some go 10mhz higher which is a lot. Also I am competitive on the 3dmarks.

brand doesnt have much to do with it. the gpus are all the same. the memory is the same on half of them. so if your narrowed down to a 4600 find the one with the fastest speed rating on the memory ex: 3.6ns is faster than 4ns
then look for reveiews and posts about that specific card

some reports say they do and some dont. mine 4200 is ok 300/600 but the prolink is consistantly doing better
A crystal orb isn't much better than stock cooling. Get a 60mm CPU cooler if you really want to push that thing, and with all that cooling you could volt mod the board with much more safety.
I got an SVC Golden Gate 40 for my Ti200, it's a whopping $10! Same price as a corb. All copper thin fin heatsink with a 40CFM YS-Tech fan. Attatch it with some Arctic Alumina Epoxy, about $7 depending on where you go. The freezer trick works perfectly with the epoxy, so you don't have to worry about it being on there for life.

Dig around their site, they got a bunch of other ones on there. I spent $20 for the sink, AA Epoxy, and shipping + tax. If you don't live in Cali you won't even pay tax.
Oh yeah, while this is a short heatsink it'll still take up about 3 PCI slots...

You got an average oc on the core and a slightly above average oc on the memory. I would be happy with that.
Cooling won't help you get further. You will need to voltage mod your card for higher oc, if you have the guts :eh?:

Kato, I live in Calgary Alberta Canada, I've asked a few local retail shops here into special ordering me a SUMA card. I should have word back from them early this week.
if they fail to track one down for me I think I may wait a bit and pick up a Matrox Parhelia.. then save a bit for 2 more monitors (although 3 new ones SHOULD be in order.. my old 15" just isn't enough anymore!).

Also, I'mnot sure about OS/driver restrictions, but there are many korean sites where youcan order SUMA video cards, not sure if they would ship to the USA or anything... too bad you didn't know someone on the USA world cup soccer team.. their are headed back now.

the problem with this card is that at some point I am going to slap a pelt on here. I can't get the crystal orb off though. Freezer doesn't work. I used Arctic Alumina Adhesive. Stuff is way too strong.
