I have a new best friend. The dremel tool. :D

Just got this case, figured I'd cut the heck outta it while I wait on the rest of the stuff. This is the first mod of any kind (first computer, really) I've done. It'll look better when it's cleaned up some more and I take off all my stencil marks. Not bad for a Newb! Let me know what you think!

And I'm tired of using a sawzall, I have a few of them. Cordless, hard-wired, I wanted to try something not as messy...

And how the heck did I post three times in a row!?!?!?
I closed the page before I even pressed submit, thinking I'd try and post on the web. Ok, someone delete this thread, I'm feeling a bit sheepish:D

I used a 5k-35k variable speed dremel tool with an 'all-purpose' rotary saw bit. It cut through the aluminum side panel like butter, but I'm not sure how it would do on a steel case. I kept it at 20k RPM's max, cus full speed on that thing would rip it to shreds if you lost control. It's hard to tell in the pic, but I also retraced the edges with a soft wire brush attachment on the dremel as well. It gave the edges a polished chrome look instead of the original brushed steel. After the final cut though, I used a grinding wheel on the dremel to take off the major burrs, then a 1/4" per side triangular file (pretty small) to finish. It got the corners pretty well, too. Lastly, I cut some acrylic sheeting to fit behind, fastening it with some semi-strong 'GOOP' brand adhesive. I didn't use epoxy or anything so that I could take it off easily, should I want to. The acrylic was horrible. I bought it from Lowe's, and was assured it would be very easy to 'work with'. After cutting through almost twice the recommended depth, I still had to flex the crap out of it, not "apply light pressure with your thumb", like it suggested. This led to breaks that were uneven, or spraying glass-like shards of plastic everywhere when it finally did snap. The blue neon is from walmart, they have all kinds of neons and stuff in their car section, and since their made for cars they run on 12v DC! So I just spliced a fan connector I wasn't using to it. It's pretty bright, and cheaper than a cathode. It still needs some minor touch-ups, but I'm happy with it. That's about it, thanks for the support! It was really fun, and I appreciate the encouragement! Let me know if you need any help!:D
