Need urgent help unlocking Athlon XP

Hi! I read through all the manuals and every post there is/was about unlocking and I decided to give it a shot (glue and defogger method). I just finished making all the lines and everything LOOkS ok, however I have a small question.

I'm using a small DMM and checking the resistance from a pair of dots to another.

It seems that the resistance between each pair is ~2kOhm. Even the ones at each end.

Is this normal? I don't want to put the CPU in and break something :/

Something like this:

(Pretend the . are the little dots and the |'s are the defogger connections.


From each pair 1-5, 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5, the resistance is 2kOhm.

I would post in another XP unlocking thread but this is urgent, sorry.

I appreciate any help!

Edit: In fact, the resistance between even the L4 dots and the L1 dots is the same as the resistance between the L1 pairs and those aren't very close to each other and in no way have defogger stuff between them.

So I guess I should give it a go?

yea, if the lines look good there is really no way it's gonna
kill anything. it's either gonna work, or not work. if it doesn't,
just clean it up and try it again. i got it on the first try with
defogger stuff :p

I dont think that you check resistance across the pairs, only that there is a connection from dot to dot by way of the defogger paint. You just want to check that the dot is connected to the dot across from it, thats all I did.
