I put EMIII into stealth mode this morning, since other people were going to be using the machine. Now I want to get it back, and the scroll-lock thing doesn't seem to work. Anyone know what config file/registry key I need to modify to turn off stealth?

the scroll lock key is the only way i know of. perhaps go here (http://home.attbi.com/~wxdude1/emsite/index.html) and use the email link at the bottom of the page and ask the weatherman directly.

Anyone know what config file/registry key I need to modify to turn off stealth? Press Control+Alt+Delete once and look in the popup window for EMIII. If it says not responding that would be why it won't unstealth. If there is no not responding message it is running ok but with possibly a corrupted stealth file. Highlight EMIII in the window and press the end task button. There might be another popup confirming your request, again end task. Uninstall EMIII and reinstall and reconfigure. You can now retry stealthing and unstealthing to see if you cured your prob, just keep it unstealthed until you get info back from weatherman, or just don't stealth anymore. This worked for me using WinME. Hope it works for you. :burn:

Sometimes pressing the keys works, sometimes it doesn't... pain.
This way works every time
make a copy of any file and put it in the EM folder.
rename the file to show.me
Within 30 seconds EM will pop into view...
This always works.
It is not in the doc file... sorry.

Also, make sure the "Start EMIII in Stealth Mode" button isnt checked in the options. This may help in the future! :)

I think that just about everyone does it once just to see it ;)
Thanks to the Weatherman for that suggestion. :)

haha:D i think the weatherman did it on purpose really... it calls you to the check box- and after ticking it you get to struggle to fix it:)
