I believe antifreeze is about 4 degrees fahrenheit cooler than water. Will this damage your water cooling system if used instead of water?

it is impossible for antifereeze to be cooler than water in the same ambient temp. From what I understand, antifereeze has less cooling properties than water. It has to do with the surface tension of water to antifreeze. antifreeze raises the boiling point of water that is why U use it in your car, but your cpu better never get near boiling temp. The best stuff to use is Red Line Water Wetter, availible at your automotive store. It lowers the surface tension of water making it pick up more heat. and it reduces the electrilytic reaction (battery effect) between copper and allum. I am going to run water wetter and 5% antifreeze for that nice green color, 5% is the max, from what I'm told.
Have fun and keep us informed

Some people use antifreeze because they use a compressor and bring the tempertures in the system below freezing. Then you need antifreeze to stop it from freezing.

Besides that, it only lowers the waters ability to transfer heat from your waterblock.

eh?

only use antifreeze if your gonna chill your water below freezing, otherwise use water wetter

Thanks for the advice.
