i have been using a borrowed dremel from my sisters ex for about 2 years and he just got around to wanting it back, jerk!(jk) well a modder without a dremel is a sad thing so whats a guy to do. so i went shopping at Lows for a new one and lo and behold i found a brand new 35,000 rpm digital dremel on clearence for 69.99(normaly 89.99) i got it home and fired it up. man this thing SCREAMS i think the berings on my previous on were going south cause thing goes at least 5-10k rpms faster( i have this funny way of being able to guess rpms by ear pretty accuratly) thas just the begining. the real fun starts when you put a load on it. beacuse it is digital it sences the drop in rpms and compensates. its near impossible to stall it even at 5k. i would suggest this model to anyone shopping for a dremel, its worth the higher price.

this thing is great. its like going from a hack saw to a sawsall. this one is precisly variable in 1k rpm increments. and it came with 126 accesories and a right angle attachment. it is the model 5426-01 digital. like i said, the best part is the speed senseing control. if you set it to 20k it tries to stay at 20k.

i hear you. as i said i was using a borrowed one for about 2 years so i know where you're comeing from. i need one for an upcomeing mod and my sisters ex wanted his back so i went shoping and found this one on sale. it was either this one for 70 bucks or the other model with less stuff and features for 65. (they did not have the base model and as much as i use mine i needed something more) this is more an issue of need than cost. i simply needed one with more functionality.

I will probably get a dremel for Christmas. I already have a case modded, and have found no use to one. However, I definitely want to mod my next case myself...

nice! i just got the 9.6 volt cordless model. i have no use for the cordless aspect(what are you gonna do bring it camping?) but it was the cheapest one with a case at homedepot. the new models go so much faster than the old ones its ridiculus
