ok, I got a cel 633 (66mhz bus, 9.5mult) on a ASUS cuv4x MB (VIA apollo Pro133Z chipset)
I wanted to update to a 1.2Ghz celeron (100mhz), but this seems to be a problem... I replaced the cpu and cooling system, booted my pc again, but it does nothing...
plz help,
thanks
That's because the Celeron 1200 is a Tualatin and your motherboard don't support it.
You've got 3 options
1)Return the Tualatin back and get a coppermine
2)Buy the Powerleap adaptor
3)Do the Tualatin mod your self

the adapter is from
www.powerleap.com and will set you back about $50 USD
To do the mod yourself, you need a GOOD brand name slotkit and how to do the mod can be found here

Just follow the links "jay" gave you.
In your case you dont need a slotket....your mobo is socket370.
If you decide to buy the adaptor...get the version 2
