What the title says. It's worth a shot, and they may even listen to us (especially if we get a lot of people to sign and support the letter). I think we should focus on the Barton core, because the T-bred isn't gonna cut it for the next 6 months until AMD supposedly gets the Hammer out. Anyone interested in helping me out? If you have any ideas about what we could write about, that would be great. Any feedback would be nice, even if you think my idea is really stupid.

I think Thoroughbred's stepping will develop, overclocks will eventually get better, and that core is going to be in the Barton. Not all chips start out great for AMD unforunately. It would be hard to say AMD isn't trying they lose money for this. I will sign the letter, but I don't know if it'll help much, they are working as hard as possible. It's hard to develop a real good chip when you started with a bad one.

Like Toms Hardware said, AMD's 0.13M cpus wont show potential till AMD adds an additional 256KB L2 and increases the surface area to allow for more heat transfer to the heatsink.

..... Barton!

okay. I guess we'll just wait and see if the barton is any good. Which it better be, because AMD will be on it's last strike, and then it is a goner.
