Well I also got stung with the Newegg Samsung DTL memory.
I plan on returning it , seems like false advertizing.

I don't plan on overclocking but I would like to buy some quality memory that would run 2-2-2-5-1 @ 166 Mhz (without spending more than I have to).
Any recommendations ??

I wanted to get 2 512Meg dimms, but now I am reading at Mushkin that 2 modules won't clock as fast as 1.

So maybe I wouldn't gain much buying 2 modules that clock slower or maybe I would be wasting money buying 2-2-2-5-1 capable memory that will run slower because of the 2 dimms.

Can't realy wait on the DDR400.
Any help greatly apreciated, I'm sooo confuzzed.

Look at corsair 3000 cas 2 or crucial 2700. Often times even crucial 2100 can run at 2-2-2-5 1T at 166.

well it aint a 512 stick but my crucial 256 stick runs @ 170 2-2-2-5-1.... and i max out around 200fsb with laxed settings (still cas 2 tho)

/edit i forgot to mention its pc2100
