Just wondering if there is any hardware difference between the SB Live X-Gamer and The SB Live Value. I know that the X-Gamer has games bundled with it. Do they use the same drivers? Are they that much different (hardware wise)?

the sblive value is just the first sb live without the daughter board, the the x-gamer and mp3 use the platinum chipset and i guess it's better, although there a MANY problem with the CUL2 board, namely ata/100 support, but other than that it's a good card, you should get the x-gamer/mp3 unless your really tight on money diffrence it only 30 bucks

the XGamer and MP3 are both Dolby 5.1 digital decoder cards. The Live card is Dolby (not 5.1) surround sound. Huge difference in sound quality as long as you have a 5.1 speaker system.
