a problem with many brands of video card

I just need to know if radeon 8500 is better than geforce 4 ti or ge force 3 ti?
Radeon is cheaper or geforce cheaper?
Radeon gets heatd up faster or Geforce?
What is yr recommendation

my recommendation is for the true 8500 in comparison with geforce 3 and 3Ti200. thats because the radeon is a faster card. in comparison with anything better i not recommend you the radeon. this better is not about the geforce 4 mx serie, radeon is still better in this case.

I would recommend any GF4 Ti card because at the moment they are the fastest and they have outstanding driver support... but 8500s are cheap...

ati's drivers are now (finally) up to par as well... if you're really tight on cash, you can save quite a bit of money, and pick up an 8500le.. they are the same as the retail ones, with a few differences: the voltages are nerfed a bit, (lowered) and they run at slower clock and memory speeds (i have seen both 230/230 cards and 250/250. out of the box, 90% of them can be oc'ed to 275/275 (retail ati 8500 speeds) i bought mine for $100 over at newegg, and have been really happy with it, best bang for you buck, no doubt about it... if you're all about benchmarks, etc etc etc, then the guys here are right pick up a geforce, they're alittle faster.. but my eyes cannont tell side by side in my games! :P

what card you get depends on what you plan on doing with it? what are you interested in? pure gaming, good image quality, fps, 2d quality, dual-head, dvd and tv?

there r many options you know. its down to the money you want to spend with it.

that article about the gigabyte 8500 is the only where i noticed an 8500 will perform so well, up with a 4600. so, in my opinion, if you get the chance to buy the gigabyte 8500 this can be a great deal. otherwise im really not too sure about the other manufacters of the 8500, so a geforce may is a better buy.

the story about img quality no longer exists since nvidia released the geforce 4 ti line of cards, and finally got them up with ATI in this matter.
